South Africa to host World Economic Forum special meeting in 2028
The meeting was originally planned for 2027, but the dates were changed following adjustments to the WEF's international meeting calendar.
The gathering will bring together leaders from around the world to discuss the global economy, look at opportunities for economic growth and investment, and explore ways to build partnerships.
The meeting is part of the WEF's efforts to bring global discussions beyond its annual gathering in Davos, Switzerland.
South Africa's hosting of the event is expected to create an opportunity for the country to engage with international leaders on issues affecting the global economy.
