Provincial commissioner to convene a media briefing in Kimberley

Provincial commissioner Lieutenant general Koliswa Otola will convene a media briefing to outline the province's state of readiness for the upcoming local government elections today, the 2nd November 2026. Police spokesperson captain Nomthandazo Mnisi says the briefing will provide an overview of the provincial preparedness, coordination and security measures in place to ensure safe and peaceful elections. Mnisi says the briefing will take place at the office of the provincial commissioner, 3rd Floor boardroom, 19 George Street, Kimberley. She says members of the media are invited to attend and cover the briefing.
