Inputs of stakeholder & public consultations in Springbok and Upington
The department of water and sanitation says key inputs and recommendations emerging from stakeholder and public consultations conducted in Springbok, De Aar, Upington and Kimberley will be incorporated into the broader national stakeholder and public engagement process. Provincial spokesperson Mr. Amogelang Moholoeng says the draft will be reviewed, refined and finalized to serve as the strategic framework for water and sanitation services, guiding the planning, development and delivery of sustainable, reliable and equitable water and sanitation services across South Africa. Moholoeng says communities, forums and NGOs were encouraged to promote water conservation, report leaks, illegal connections, meter bypasses and vandalism and participate in municipal water and sanitation forums.
