NSFAS 1 MILLION Fund request 2027 cycle

NSFAS has recorded over one – million applications for the 2027 funding cycle.  The National Student Financial Aid Scheme says interest remains high from students wanting to study at public universities and TVET colleges. The application window closes on 31 October 2026 and there will be no extension. Students must apply via nsfas.org.za or NSFAS app and upload all supporting documents. The NSFAS Board will now lead a final outreach drive targeting learners in rural areas and townships.
