Police invite applications in policing through recruitment of trainees

Police is inviting applications from suitably qualified and eligible individuals who aspire to pursue a career in policing through the recruitment of entry-level police trainees for the 2026/2027 intake. Police spokesperson captain Nomthandazo Mnisi says the recruitment drive seeks to attract young, energetic, intelligent, physically and mentally fit individuals who are committed to serving and protecting the people of South Africa. Mnisi says successful applicants will undergo basic police training at designated SAPS academies, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to fulfil their policing responsibilities. She says the closing date for applications is the 13th November 2026.
