The communities of Gasese and Mokalawanoga have warmly welcomed the official introduction of the contractor appointed for Phase 3 of the Gasese to Mokalawanoga Access road project on the 17th September 2026. Joe Morolong local municipality spokesperson Ms. Lerato Khunou says the announcement was met with great excitement and gratitude by local residents during a community engagement hosted by the Joe Morolong municipality. Khunou says the project represents a continued strategic partnership between the municipality and Tshipi Éntle Manganese Mining, funded through social and Labour Plan (SLP) contributions aimed at driving local infrastructure development. She says the project value at R30 240 970-92 including VAT and project duration is 12 Months. According to information, addressing the community, executive council member councilor Naomi Mokweni expressed sincere gratitude to residents for their ongoing cooperation. She highlighted that Phase 2 of the access road was completed smoothly without delays or challenges, setting a strong foundation for the start of Phase 3.
