The Minister of Human Settlements, Thembi Simelane together with the Northern Cape MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (COGHSTA), Lebogang Motlhaping, will lead a handover of newly built houses together with the title deeds at Lerato Park, Kimberley on the 17th September 2026. According to information, Simelane has been challenging provinces to prioritize township establishments together with the construction of houses so that a house can be handed over to a benefiary with a tittle deed at the same time. It will be for the first time that minister Similane handover houses and issue tittle deeds at the same time to the beneficiaries.
