Police Arrested A Suspect After Suspected Illicit Drugs Were Found In His Possession In Kimberley

Police arrested a suspect after suspected illicit drugs, believed to be khat were found in his possession in Kimberley, on the 11th ofSeptember 2026. Police spokesperson brigadier Mashay Gamieldien says undisclosed cash, suspected to be proceeds of crime, and three cellphones were also seized during the initial intervention.

Gamieldien says during the investigation, the suspect was requested to identify his residential premises for further police enquiries. Gamildien explains:
