COGHSTA MEC Mr. Lebogang Motlhaping hosted a highly successful introductory engagement with dikgosi in the Northern Cape to lay a solid foundation for future cooperation. Spokesperson for MEC Mr.Tebogo Monyo says during the session, hosted at the COGHSTA regional office, in Kuruman, the MEC affirmed an unwavering commitment to maintaining continuous dialogue and open channels of communication with dikgosi. Monyo says Motlhaping emphasized that regular consultation will be the cornerstone of a strong, respectful, and productive developmental relationship between the department and traditional authorities. He says kgosi Pelonomi Toto, on behalf of the Northern Cape provincial house of traditional and Khoi San leaders (NCPHTKL), appreciated the opportunity to engage with the newly appointed MEC and said that the traditional leadership as a collective, will provide the necessary support to the MEC during his tenure, in a collaborative manner to serve all communities.
