Kathu regional court granted a 40 year old man a R1 000-00 bail

A 40-year-old man William Jonethen Pholman appeared at Kathu regional court on the 31st July 2026 on a charge of dealing in drugs. Hawks spokesperson warrant officer Nomthandazo Mnisi says the suspect was arrested by Hawks at Kathu village Mall, on the 30th July 2026. Mnisi says his parcel was opened and searched, during the search crystal meth weighing 0.40 g, CAT weighing 0.05g, Mandrax tablets and two cell phones with a street value of R212 400-00 were confiscated by Hawks. She says the accused appeared at Kathu regional court and he was granted R1 000-00 bail and the case is postponed to Wednesday, the 9th September 2026.
