The department of roads and public works convened a 2 day MANCO meeting at the Protea Hotel in Kimberley, Frances Baard District this past weekend. On the first day of the meeting on saterday the MEC Fufe Makatong delivered her political intent, emphasising that Senior Management of the Department needs to ensure that all targets, as outlined in the Annual Performance Plan, must be achieved or exceeded while on the second day of the meeting Senior Management under the leadership of MEC Fufe Makatong and Head of the Department, Dr. Johny MacKay, deliberated on advancing strategies which will better position the department to eradicate the triple burden of unemployment, poverty and inequality. According to a statement by the department on their official social media, at her turn MEC Makatong indicated that all strategic and operational descisions should be in support of a vision of a clean audit.
