Police arrested 8 suspects in connection with dealing in drugs in Upington during the operation Didlimbeta yesterday, the 13th June 2024. Police spokesperson colonel Cherelle Ehlers says 6 men between the ages of 20 and 38 years old and 2 women aged 34 and 44 years old were arrested in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R123 568-00-00 was recovered and confiscated. Ehlers says this included Mandrax, Tik and CAT with an estimated value of R5 130 and hydroponic dagga with an estimated value of R118 438-00. She says the suspects are expected to appear at Upington magistrate’s court soon on charges of dealing in drugs.
