The illicit mining multi-disciplinary team, operation Vala Umgodi conducted crime prevention operations and followed up on intelligence driven information regarding alleged drug activities taking place in Postmasburg the past Friday, the 3rd May 2024. Police spokesperson sergeant Molefi Shemane says during the operation, police arrested 9 men between the ages of 20 and 48 years old for illegal possession drugs, ammunition and possession of suspected stolen goods.
