It can be expected that more learners across the Northern Cape to receive e - learning tablets loaded with pre- loaded educational material this year. According to a statement, this allocations is to assist learners in enhancing education. A total of 12000 tablets were issued last year to matriculants in the province. It is reported that this year, grades 10 and 11 learners will also become beneficiaries of these tablets which is to be rolled out effective from 1 April 2024. The department says this expanding programme intends to prepare learners in the province for the future with the aim to make learning through technology not only accessible to pupils at school, but also in the comfort of their homes.
