The Mayor of the Joe Morolong municipality Dineo Leutlwetse -Tshabalala together with Exco members,Councillors, Municipal Manager,Municipal and Coghsta Directors joined by Consultants and Contractors held a Handover meeting at Magobing village in ward 4 yesterday. This handover meeting according to a statement by the municipality follows from the 1 billion housing project as launched by the President last week in Kimberly and provided for the handing over of 89 houses that were left uncompleted by the previous contractor. This project is anticipated to be completed in the next 8 months while in the Dithakong and Rowell Village also in the Joe Morolong Local Municipal area Sanitation Projects were handed over to the communities. the municipality says contractors and consultants of those projects were formally introduced and were afforded the opportunity to give an overview of the project and it’s scope of work. The statement by the municipality further provides that in the Dithakong village 120 dry double pit toilets will be constructed and in Rowell village, a total of 24 dry double pit toilets will be constructed.
